Unions is Marie Hines and Justin Halpin with producer Paul Barber. Formed in 2015, Unions released their first self-titled EP in July 2016. A second album (Two) was released in August 2017. Since then, Unions has released a number of singles and two remixes.
In the years since their self titled release, Unions has had numerous placements on television shows and promos. From their first release, their song Bury was featured in Season 3 of The Cleaning Lady, "UFC: Cruz vs Faber", UFC 25 Years Documentary, television shows UnReal, Guilt, The Royals, Riverdale, and Shadowhunters. It was also featured in the Shades Of Blue Season 2 official trailer and the Season 3 official trailer for Netflix's Bloodline. Prodigal can be heard in Season 4 of The Fosters. Rescue Me was featured in the most recent season of True Detective, in the trailer for HBO’s Mare Of Easttown, and the Season 2 promo for Fox’s 9-1-1. It was also featured in both Season 1 and Season 2 trailers for USA's The Sinner, and can be heard in the television shows UnREAL and Light As A Feather. It was also featured in Season 16 of So You Think You Can Dance in a choreographed dance by Gianna Newborg. Sex & Candy can be heard in the shows Little Fires Everywhere, Presumed Innocent, Love Island, Hightown, Pretty Little Liars, and UnREAL.
From their 2017 release, Are You Afraid Of The Dark was featured in Deception and Shades Of Blue, Close My Eyes is featured in the 2018 film “I Still See You”, and their cover of Kaleo’s Way Down We Go was featured in Season 1 of Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists. My Sins (2018) was featured in the Season 2 trailer for Hulu's Harlots, television shows Grey’s Anatomy, Black Lightning, and Good Trouble. You Better Run (2018) was featured in Riverdale, Good Trouble, and UnREAL. Here Comes The Night (2018) was featured in the television shows Good Trouble, Charmed, and Light As A Feather. Forgive (2019) was featured in Good Trouble, and Silhouette (2019) was featured in Grey’s Anatomy.
